These works are distinctive for the variety of ways paper is interwoven into what is primarily an oil painting. The artist describes a whimsical impulse in deciding these placements. The papers are cut or torn, shaded and sometimes painted to best fit into the context of the work. Her current favorite is the ironing board covers in “Laundry Ladies”.
